Choosing to have cosmetic dentistry can be a daunting decision, especially if you are having difficulty expressing exactly what about your smile you would like to change. You may be concerned about the health of your teeth, the affordability of the procedure, or you may be considering a procedure, like porcelain veneers, that you are not yet sure will address your problems.

All of these reasons have led Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. John Sarris to offer a complimentary consultation to his new patients.

What to Expect at Your Consultation
There are several goals to keep in mind when you meet with Dr. Sarris and a member of our team for your complimentary dental consultation. You should plan to:

  • Ask questions
  • Give information
  • Learn about our practice
  • Be open to unfamiliar treatment options

Our goal is to give you the best smile possible, but “best” means something a little different to each patient. While we are discussing your goals, we might ask you about:

  • Tooth shape
  • Tooth color
  • Chewing or bite comfort
  • Missing teeth
  • Dental history
  • Your expectations

From this information, Dr. Sarris can create a treatment plan that is specific to your goals and desires, and help you to eventually walk out of our office with a genuinely beautiful smile.

Tests and X-Rays
During your complimentary consultation, we may recommend that tests be performed or X-rays taken. These are considered part of your treatment and may be subject to fees. However, we will not perform any activity which will cost you money without your express permission. If you are uncomfortable with an activity or unsure whether it is necessary, please feel free to ask us for more details before proceeding.

Discussing Your Goals
It is important that you are direct and open about your desired outcome. If you do not accurately express your goals, it is possible that you will be unhappy with your outcome. For example, if you are unhappy with the gaps between your teeth, but only express that you want a straight or white smile, we may not offer you the treatment which will best achieve your desires.

At any time during your complimentary dental consultation, we welcome questions. If we use a term you do not understand or refer to a treatment you have not heard of before, please feel free to stop us and ask for more information. Our goal is to help you make an educated decision and to feel comfortable about that decision throughout your treatment.
